Came here for lunch after reading the rave reviews and it exceeded my expectations because sometimes good reviews in small towns are biased due to the fact that there isnt much competition so they don't have an accurate baseline to judge but let me tell you...... this place is the real deal!!! Chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Not undercooked and not dry. Soooo juicy and tasted even better the next day which is hard to accomplish. They have so many side options to choose from. I of course had the Mac & Cheese because that's the second test of an authentic Soul Food place and this was one of the best I've had as well. Again seasoned just right. Not too salty and not too cheesy. I also had the Collard Greens which complemented everything perfectly. They were fresh and delicious. What stood out most about the food is how hot is was and remained throughout the time it took to eat it. Sometimes places that have food in the warming pans aren't able to keep it at a high temperature but my meal came out like it had just been freshly cooked. The portions were also generous and the packaging was sturdy. Another notable mention is how clean the entire place is. Lola happened to be there when I came in and she was very sweet and welcoming. I can't wait to try this place again. Go try this place, it will become a fast favorite. ”
